My name is Charlie Saginaw. I am passionately curious: I love to ask questions! I am a native Texan, with no Southern drawl. I live for travel and food and great conversation.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to travel and experience new places as the locals do, with the local transpiration, food, customs, and human experiences. I also l love to share stories with couchsurfers; they tend to have a lot of them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I first discovered couchsurfing from my friend Tamilla. Before I left to study World War II in Europe for a month in 2009, she suggested checking out this site to meet locals in the places we were staying. Starting in Berlin my friend Lauren Ayers and I headed east on the train and couchsurfed through Praha, Budapest, Vienna, and then headed back west and stayed in Amsterdam. After that I have been to a few couchsurfing parties and they have been great!

I have trouble finding the words to describe how much fun I had sharing stories, meeting families, and discussing local politics.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

This summer I and 59 other University of Texas students biked over 4,600 miles from Austin, Texas to Anchorage, Alaska. We are doing this ride to support Cancer Research at MD Anderson Cancer Research Center.
