About Me

CURRENT MISSION

developing a sustainable and sustainably peaceful life

ABOUT ME

I have spent most of my adult life travelling, though less and less as the years go by. Still, I love travellers and the joy of sitting around and swapping tales.

I spent the last ten years sculpting sets for Hollywood but now I am married and looking forward to our first baby. We are settled in Floyd, VA, on a lovely piece of land reminiscent of Ireland (but not so wet!), and now beginning the homesteading in earnest.

My wife, Tara, is the most amazing woman and is now preparing to devote her life to midwifery, in addition to her already formidable herbal knowledge.

PHILOSOPHY

Scott: Lets bring the "common" back to Common Sense!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen much of the world and done some amazing things, some of which I oughtn't to have survived, but here I am nonetheless.

Teach, Learn, Share

Scott: The most surprising thing I learned from my travels is to be able to differentiate between human behavior and cultural behavior, and really, the cultural stuff doesn't hold a candle next to the human flame.
