About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore Thailand and Laos and work with entrepreneurs and artists here
ABOUT ME
I am a balanced person: independent but very social. I love spontaneous fun - dancing in the street, befriending strangers, getting lost in the city...I´m full of smiles and laughter. I am driven by a deep care and curiosity about people and planet.
PHILOSOPHY
If it ain't fun, it don't get done.
What seems like a curse may be a blessing.
Always look on the bright side of your life!
Dalai Lama: "The best religion is whatever makes you more compassionate, more sensible, more detached, more loving, more humanitarian, more responsible, more ethical. The religion that would do that for you is the best religion. I am not interested, my friend, about your religion or if you are religious or not. What really is important to me is your behaviour in front of your peers, family, work, community, and in front of the world. Remember, the universe is the echo of our actions and our thoughts." Well said!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I traveled around Brazil meeting and staying with Couchsurfers. After developing many close and inspirational friendships, I am hoping to continue participating here in Thailand and Laos.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I stayed with couchsurfing hosts in Brazil and have hosted people in San Francisco. I also have enjoyed just meeting couchsurfers and getting to go on adventures with people in their home towns or showing them mine.
Interests
Learning about people and their experiences. There´s nothing like a good story that sticks with you as if it happened to you.
Business Development for people with great, creative, sustainable ideas: because I love helping artists and creative visionaries bring their ideas into the world and orchestrate more opportunities for more people to share their gifts and talents.
Music- I am learning to play guitar and taking it with me everywhere!
Dance- I cant help but move when I hear that thump-thump
Bikes-because everyone wins with bikes. Its fun, you get to exercise, you get to go where you need to go, way quicker than by bus...and singing while whizzing down a hill, with the wind on your face! now that's living!
Yoga-ooh cause it feels so good.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have been listening to a lot of Jorge Ben, Jill Scott, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Amy Winehouse, T-Bone Walker (and all of that 1960's American blues), Sam Cooke, James Hunter, Bob Marley (always so good!), the Beatles, the Abyssinians, Bassnectar, EDit, Koop, Ray Charles and more...
And now, finally having time to sit and ready, I've been enjoying Bill Bryson, but my all time favorite is Tom Robbins
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ok, this was amazing:
I was in Bariloche, Argentina with a couple of other American friends. We had just gotten there and just gotten $ from the ATM.
We hopped on a bus, and need a few pesos each, but of course, having come straight from the bank, our bills were too big.
We felt very silly and really embarrased, but worse still the bus driver wouldn't let us ride without exact change.
All the other people on the bus start getting involved, and one guy digs into his pocket and is like "here! I have a peso for you!" and the rest of the bus starts to do the same. This school-girl in her uniform goes down the bus aisle, collecting pesos and brings the up to the driver so that we can all get on the bus.
Now, that is some amazing generosity from strangers, a group of strangers! that didn't expect anything in return. Thank you bus riders!!!
Teach, Learn, Share
Ooh I love teaching - so whether it's English to people from other countries, or using photoshop/filemaker/computer stuff, leading yoga, or anything!
Also, I get pretty excited when I'm learning new things - I ask lots of questions :) and right now that's guitar, Thai and Lao, cooking...really so much.
I like learning about what a person is passionate about, even if its not something that I would pursue on my own...I like learning about it from someone who really cares.
