About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To meet folks from all over and share what I have with fellow travelers.
ABOUT ME
I'm on a constant journey. Right now, I'm working with hot glass full time and trying to develop my skills in making Mrcromosaic Murrine. (pictures in glass). I have taught art and computer science in the US, Turkey, and Bermuda. I've also been a programmer, network builder, social worker, and waitress. Last paid job, I was the director of Technology for a Superior Court. I lived in Mexico for 4 years working full time in my studio.. I have two wonderful dogs. I have a 30 year son who lives in Oakland. He just moved to that area from Taiwan where he was for 7 years. I now have a studio at The Doris (www.thedoris.org) and spend most days there.
PHILOSOPHY
Live free and let others do the same.
Surfing isn't just be about a place to sleep. It's about exchange. That is true for everything in life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I enjoy travelers of all backgrounds and ages. This seems like a great way to make these connections. I work in studio most days and have much space to share. This seemed the best way to use what I have to enhance my life and the lives of others.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I meet my best Gainesville friend as I surfed his place when I first came here. I've been hosting for two years and it has been a great experience. Every group different, every group positive. I've have always thought I was opened minded but I can see that this is gong to help keep that exercised and growing.
Interests
My, lots of stuff. Of course, my glass work takes most of time. I'm trying to learn Spanish but I suck at that. I work in a soup kitchen once a week to keep my head grounded. I never want to forget how fortunate I am.
