About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Work and work so that I can save money and go on my next backpacking trip ;)

PLEASE READ THE "MY HOME" SECTION!

ABOUT ME
I was born in Mexico and raised in Arizona in the United States. I currently live in Hermosillo (Mexico) where I work in education. I'm a person who likes to meet people from all walks of life because I believe that I can always learn something new. I enjoy going to art museums, bars with good music, drinking beer with my friends, the beach, libraries, having my morning coffee, walking around and observing different people and objects. Other things that I enjoy are reading, watching movies and going to vegetarian restaurants, though I am open to any suggestions. Overall, that is my idea of fun and every now and then I enjoy partying, well who doesn't?

PHILOSOPHY

"El fascismo se cura leyendo y el racismo se cura viajando."- Miguel de Unamuno

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I participate by attending different events that are organized by the wonderful Couchsurfing members locally and nationally.

During my travels I like to use CS to meet kind and friendly people who are willing to show me around the city :) I've met so many great people and that experience has been awesome.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been hosted in Chile, Colombia, France, England and Netherlands. All of these have been amazing experiences. I really loved how different it is to get the local perspective and not just the tourist side of traveling. I've also met a lot of friends through CS.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking the Cotopaxi Volcano in Ecuador and reaching the glaciers at 5000 meters above see level; now that was extreme. Also, being in Machu Picchu and going to Rio de Janeiro during the New Year's eve party.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think that one can learn from everyone, really. I'm an English Teacher and languages are a great passion for me. We can talk about many subjects too; I'm a very open-minded individual.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I really like to cook vegan dishes :) and I can teach you a thing or two about that. Also, I can teach a bit about Mexican cuisine and culture. I can help you practice your Spanish or English. Maybe have a drink and a good conversation.
