CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to help my children grow up to be kind decent people.

ABOUT ME

I am a single parent of an 26 year old male, a 24 year old female and an 18 year old . They are my passion. I am divorced, teach at a university, live in San Juan, Puerto Rico and know the Island pretty well.
I have traveled to Europe, Orient, Caribbean and South America, mostly as part of my duties as a lecturer in sports Science.
I like to read, enjoy most music, am liberal in my thinking, am Christian, and enjoy people of all walks of life, religions and cultures.
My friends consider me a good conversationalist, and I like taking people around the island.

PHILOSOPHY

As a Christian I believe that all people are the same spiritually, and that cultural differences are to be respected. I value my family and friends very much.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted many people , and have joined in some of the activities of the Puerto Rican Group.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been hosted once, which convinced me couch surfing is a good idea and hosted many after that. I have met some really nice people, and a few which were inconsecuential. In general it has been very good, although some people who ask to be hosted never show up without notice, and others are in Csing just to freeload a place to stay, and never host anybody.

Centres d'intérêt

I like sports (my son plays soccer), am a 3d degree black belt in judo, have done personal training, have been coach of the Puerto Rican National Judo team. I have been the conditioning coach for the National Women¨s Water Polo team and Mens Softball team, etc.
I like to travel (of course), socialize, try different foods (I am not overly adventurous in this area)
I like children and love to watch them play freely.
I am not a one dimensional person as i like the plastic and performing arts, architecture and politics.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I read professional journals, loved the Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit, I read the bible and books on varied subjects. I enjoyed Gandhi the movie and have found that there are many wonderful films, many of which are not commercial successes.
I enjoy classical and popular music, but not all.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I walked the Camino de Santiago with two of my children. It was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have ever had.

I enjoy human performance and I can contribute knowledge about health promotion and sports science. I have always been into exercise and have taught and worked with people of all ages.
I enjoy learning how different people adjust to life and how they go about trying to be happy.
