ABOUT ME

We live in a traditional & historical Fijian village about 12minutes away from the International airport. We are very friendly and outgoing, love meeting people and if we can help, we will. We like travelling around our country and other countries if we can afford it. I have now quit smoking and drinking of kava as well as my husband but he (my husband) drinks kava. I am a travel agent and just base at home and will be happy to give you advise about places here and maybe plan your islands hopping if you have not any plans. We are both retired hoteliers. My husband was a musician and use to play in a 5 star hotel as a drummer and I was working in the administration department of the hotel. There is a little girl ( who is our adopted daughter now) that lives with us at home and she is now 15 years old. Her name is Kalesi but we call her "KA" at home....She is also a very good tour guide and can take you for a walk around the village and show you some of the traditional things here. We no longer have a dog but we have 3 cats. We own a car and will be picking you up from the airport at any time provided you give us your flight arrival details and pay us F$20 for the petrol. We also have WIFI at home with a limited data. You can connect to the WIFI but there will be a charge of F$5 per day. Because we are retired and don't have any other source of income except for hosting people at home, we are now charging accommodation at F$30 per person per night for accommodation only. We are not hosting at the moment at home because of bed bugs but we have a tent for 2 people or you can bring your own tent just for sleeping but you will still have the full use of our facilities.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I welcome my CS guests in a traditional Fijian style (a little kava ceremony if we have kava available at home). By helping people when arriving in my country and giving them information to go the correct direction. By giving information about the best islands to visit.. by giving info of getting around the island and sharing the Fijian culture. I can also arrange island hopping trips around the Yasawa group of islands and other islands in the Fiji Group. I will give advise if asked.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I enjoy being with people from anywhere in the world. There have been young & old CS coming to my village. We are flexible and can take any type of CS.
