About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel, visit new places and meet new people! And have fun!!
ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Molly Sterlacci. I'm 27 years old and graduated from College at William and Mary, where I studied Psychology. I studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain and have traveled extensively around the world, for fun and for service-oriented projects. I've been to Japan, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, Russia, South Africa, Italy, England, Scotland, France...I have a passion for traveling because I love learning new languages, meeting new people, learning things about different cultures, whether it's food, architecture, way of life, fashion, art...
People would describe me as extroverted, easy-going, down-to-earth, kind, approachable, and a conversationalist. I love having discussions and debates with people!
PHILOSOPHY
I would say my personal philosophy is to create strong friendships and always be learning new things, because that is what makes me feel alive inside. I appreciate the small, simple things in life and love to make sure I don't take what I have been given for granted!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I participate by hosting surfers and by surfing myself. I am hoping to help build a strong, trusting CS community by myself being a trustworthy, honest, respectful person.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted a couchsurfer at my old apartment in Williamsburg, VA once. It was a great experience and it was really neat talking to him about where he is from and about his US-travels. I love the idea of being able to meet people this way because I think it's really organic and an easy way to meet locals while traveling!
Interests
Yoga, running, reading, tennis, lacrosse, watching tv, listening to music, going to concerts, having a good coffee :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I love lots of different types of music and am open to a lot of different stuff, but I listen to a lot of alternative, rock, pop, techno, dubstep, house, some country...
Books: I really like books by Malcolm Gladwell and Dan Brown.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have gone on a safari in South Africa and played with little lion cubs and saw a white male lion roar!
I have been to Tokyo, Japan where I went to the observatory and saw the 360 degree view of the city!
I have taught orphaned children in the DR, Nicaragua, South Africa and Moscow, Russia English and more importantly, that they are loved and appreciated by someone else.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a lot of knowledge about the mind, aka psychology, because that is what I study! I love thinking about how people think, how personality's affect things like work environment or the likeliness of success for a couple.
Esoteric knowledge: There is no correlation between the size of a brain and the intelligence of a person; rather, it is the amount of neuron connections and the speed and interconnectivity of those connections that makes someone smarter or have a higher IQ.
There is way too much that I would love to learn, but I would be most adept at contributing to teaching of how the mind works.
