ABOUT ME

Quirky things that have shaped my personality include the fact that I grew up in Alaska, my wild-ass family, and my experiences traveling. These days, I live in the ATL. Fundamentally, I am very social, and I love "doing" things, adventurous things, memorable things. However, I am getting older and so I flirt with responsibility until life changes and then I try and mesh the adventurous/crazy things with responsibility the best I can. But we'll see what happens with that.

PHILOSOPHY

I say try to be as happy as possible. I feel that the more I try to pursue happiness, and be aware of what it is that I could do/say that would make me truly happy, then I try and go for it. Honesty is super important, giving love and being loved, generosity, having courage, curiosity and communicating openly...these traits have maintained me in a pretty positive place, I think

Music, Movies, and Books

Traditionally, it was always Animal House and Blues Brothers - these were movies that I used to watch again and again during high school. Somewhere along the way, I realized that The Commitments is a favorite of mine. South Park the movie made me laugh so hard one of the first times I watched it that I had to turn it off. I love movies - foreign, domestic, whatever.

Broken Social Scene, Thievery Corporation, Nortec Collective, Spoon, Wilco, Vampire Weekend, Ratatat, Johnny Cash, Brian Eno, etc. infinity

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching Barack Obama become the next President of the United States was a truly amazing thing. Sure, I have been incredibly lucky and had some wonderful experiences traveling around the world, but feeling the surge of pride and patriotism after watching him acknowledge his responsibility to lead our country, I was and still am, amazed.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can offer humor, some experience, an easy-going and open approach to living, breathing, interacting and developing. I love the idea of doing work that I know actually needs to get done.
