Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed and hosted in many different places, and every one has been a completely unique experience. Like the Slovenian rock climbers, hitching to crash the French Gypsy festival, and the quick, close friendships created when life is taken out of it's little safe box.
Interests
Enjoyables: Bikes, books, crafting, oil paints, bees and trees, excessive yoga, natural farming, rituals, wilderness rites, goats, "existential issues," rocks/dirt, fruit (all kinds), vegetables (ditto), mycelium (foraging, ingesting, admiring), pickles, fermentation (beer, kraut, kimchi, miso, ginger-beer, kombucha), and nice evenings with a tasty meal and good drinks when the air is warm enough to have the windows and doors open. Also cold snow-caked nights spent inside with a cup of tea and a knitted blanket to wrap up in with a book that you'd been meaning to finish and nowhere to go and no one too see.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite books? Snow (Orhan Pamuk), Written on the Body (Janette Winterson), Collages (Anias Nin), The Sheltering Sky (Paul Bowles), John Updike's Rabbit books, and most recently some funny new-agey books about the soul by people like James Hillman.
I play mandolin and guitar, and like to play and listen to just about anything.
