ABOUT ME

I moved to New Orleans right after graduating from college to become a teacher; this choice has transformed my perspective of the world and my understanding of community. I earned my masters in teaching from Xavier University of Louisiana.

I need creative people in my life.

I like listening to other people's conversations on the bus.
I don't identify as being normal.
In Slovakia, I had a really intense conversation with a group of siblings and have decided that maybe children are the best way to learn a language.
I can show you parts of New Orleans most people consider "dangerous".

PHILOSOPHY

Like I said, I am a helpless romantic. I believe that things happen for a reason, even if we never know what that reason is. I believe that people should be what they are, regardless of what people expect.
Connections with other people have always been the most important thing to me. I would move a thousand miles away from everything I know, for the right connection. Maybe I have found that connection, maybe not.

love is uncertainty, but in that uncertainty is a brief glimpse of destiny.

Right now, I am finally living in the moment and it is fucking brilliant.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to meet new people. I couchsurfed through central Europe, & Norway. I made some amazing connections.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing is amazing. I stayed with a bunch of boys from Slovakia in a dorm room in Praha, which was fantastic, and now I have stayed with a wonderful girl in Bratislava, who has shared her own extensive experiences. In Wien, I stayed for 9 days with Patrick and Matthias, and they let me take over a small portion of their lives. So far, the best experiences have been the least expected though, which makes sense with travel.

My eyes have now been opened to the wonders of meeting new people, so easy.

I have taught children to believe in themselves, much in the way my teachers did for me.

I was the first person in my family to graduate from college.

I would like to share music, conversation, maybe even paint with someone. I want to cook. I want to experience difference kinds of food. I just want to get the feel for a place, which you cannot do very well as a tourist. It is only through connections that you can experience anything real.
