ABOUT ME

FYI - the CS website had an error that zeroed out my "Couchsurfer requests responded to" number, but you can see below for my references! CS said they can't fix the problem, but I promise I'm a good host and surfer! :)

In May 2013, I quit my six-year career in PR in NYC to apply for my masters in occupational therapy. As of April 2014, I am thrilled to say I'll be attending UNC Chapel Hill come fall! I am looking forward to a career in a "helping profession." It took me six years, but eventually I realized that I care more about helping other people than helping myself, and money just doesn't drive me. The past 11 months have been an exercise in returning to who I was before I fell into the grip of Corporate America. :) I learned a lot of great things and met a lot of amazing people during that career, but I also let myself be poisoned in a lot of ways. I am so, so thrilled to be on this new path!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had so much fun hosting all the people who have stayed with me. I can't wait to meet more and eventually surf more myself. I have become genuine friends with so many people I've met through this site, and I think that is the best part of the experience.

Singing 'Champagne Supernova' on a stoop at 3 a.m. with good friends and a snake named Mitch around my neck.

Standing on the beach in Cadiz, Spain. Looking to the north and seeing all of Europe's city lights glowing in the night sky. Then looking to the south and seeing the pitch black of the African sky.
