About Me
CURRENT MISSION
making life one big adventure
ABOUT ME
Past: I was born and raised in Colorado. So like everyone else in this city, I inherently love to ski and frolic in the mountains. There is not necessarily one straightforward story of my life. Since college, I've bounced around both far away places and within these fine United States, including a nearly 2 year stint in Chicago. If you know and love Chicago, chances are we'll have something to talk about.
Present: My summer job entails me driving a van and trailer of crazy foreigners all throughout this damned country. I'm in Denver for the winter in attempts to actually be home for all holidays and pay a visit to the mountains as much as possible. It's also nice to just be in once place for awhile?
Other than that you’ll probably find making pathetic attempts at running long distances and doing yoga, trying to cook, biking around, and spending too much money on brews and live music.
PHILOSOPHY
Still working on it, but in the mean time:
JAMM REK (peace only)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just joined CS after hearing about it from various people. I've experienced some of the best hospitality there is throughout my travels and am constantly trying to return the favor and pass it forward.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I attended a couch surfing party while in Delhi, did some couchsurfing while living in China and hosted fellow ski bums, friends, strangers and bands in Crested Butte. While living in Chicago, I attended some Couchsurfing events. Oh and here's a fun CS fact: one of our surfers in Colorado actually became our third roommate!
Interests
traveling, outdoor activities particularly hiking, biking and above all skiing (it's the colorado in me), meeting new people from all around, music, podcasts, writing/reading, good wine and beer, coffee, conversing ,food, adventuring, spontaneity, dance parties, chicago, san francisco, concerts, bay to breakers, chaotic cities and tranquil countryside, karaoke in china, yoga, WWOOFing, contemplating vegetarianism, and so on and so forth.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm too indecisive to answer such a question. Usually anything that has the ability to teach me something new, anything original, anything thought and feeling provoking and anything that makes me appreciate life just a little more.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Learning how to play the djembe in a shack on the beach while the sun set off the coast of Dakar.
Attended a guru gathering in India with my host family. I was the only white person within miles and literally had 50+ people circle around me and just gawk. Not so much fun when it happened, but in retrospect, all I can do is laugh.
Received a private tour from a monk at a monastery in western Sichuan/eastern Tibet. We didn't speak the same language, it's amazing what hand gestures and smiles can accomplish.
Went through a mud cave in China.
