About Me

2017 Continuing my travelling to India, Europe and then South America. I am experimenting a global education on myself. Learning through travelling.

Last year after spending 5 months in New York City fully devoting myself to in making interactive digital art, I had an exhibition in downtown NYC! Then I went to Mexico, dancing salsa and speaking Spanish and fell in love with passionate Latin American culture. I ended up adopting a Mexican Mother and living with this family for a month in Mexico City. So much love to share!

This year I'm learning how to listen to my inner voice and be a happy soul. After taking a ten-day Vipassana meditation course I realized how great to have a peaceful mind. Since May last year I will be spending a year and a half travelling around the world. The mission I am on is to find love and beautiful interactions in different cultures and explore my interests in my areas: digital art, dance, meditation and yoga. One day I hope to make a school teaching both innovation/creativity and meditation. I want to help people feel empowered especially women. At the moment I am experimenting on myself because the best teacher is also the best student.

From Science to Art
I am a teacher-turned-artist now temporally travelling full time. After teaching Science a high school for four years in Melbourne, Australia I have decided to quit my job and dive into the unknown world so that I can continue to grow.
I am affectionate and friendly who like to give people hugs even though I can be shy at the start. I am experimental who highly value imagination and creativity. Every now and then I even meow like a cat. But I can't be a cat because I love the water too much. I have snorkeled and dived in some of the most remote coral reefs in the world and I truly admire the beauty of the biodiversity! Cats are the masters of balance. One day I hope I can comfortably balancing between yin and yang, the utopia and the reality, Science and Art, the two worlds seemly opposite yet complementary.

From the East to the West (but hang on, the world is a moving globe:)
I was born in a small city in China and went to Australia on my own when I was 18. Choosing to live and study overseas by myself is a turning point of my life. It has turned me to a global citizen. I have been a regular traveler, I go overseas every three months because I am a nomad who love to explore and look for adventures at different places. I am an intrepid traveler who likes to dig deep to understand the local culture. Traveling makes me appreciate the nature, diversity of culture and art in the world, and it inspires me to learn from other people. I like to learn and share.

Am I the only Science teacher from China in Australia?
Four years ago I have decided to become a high school Science teacher. My students are mainly Australians but also a few immigrant children from all over the world. Teaching native English speakers Science while observing how culture has shaped people at a young age is absolutely fascinating. I am often amazed by how different education can be in different countries.

Safe and fun travelling:)
I am an adventurous risk taker who has got close to death a few times in order to experience unique traveling, including going to a remote village in Indonesia on my own, diving in 30 meters deep.

Ten years ago, I started backpack on Couchsurfing! I chose a gap year after I finished the first year in my university in Australia. I went to travel as a Couchsurfer for the first time and worked at different jobs at new places. My Chinese friends can't believe my parents supporting this idea because this is simply not something Chinese parents will approve. I know I am lucky!

Teach, Learn, Share

Share with your my home brewed ginger beer, laughter and love.

I would like to teach you how to make balloon animals, speak English with Australian accent, belly dance, speak in public with excitement instead of anxiety and Science stuff, like setting fire on hands safely, fish dissection.
