Establishing our homestead

ABOUT ME

We are a family of four. My husband Oliver and I met in Thailand in 2002, he was shooting a documentary and I was backpacking.

We are seeking connection to the land and community. We value sustainability and want to live a satisfying, healthy and creative life. In May 2012 we moved from Commercial Drive in Vancouver to Greenwood, the smallest city in Canada onto an off-grid property in the woods to start an organic farm and to form an ecovillage. We started renovating an existing log house and building our homestead.
We are located only minutes north of Greenwood and only an hour from Osoyoos. Our property has 142 acres with Jewel Creek running through it. It is surrounded by crown land and has trails all around. 3 km to Jewel Lake with a nice beach, swimming, and boating, in a wilderness setting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When we still lived in Vancouver, we had quite a few people surfing our couch. Most of them were good experiences.
To all other hosts: To avoid disappointment, make your personal rules and stick to them. :o)
We surfed only three times so far and it was always awesome.

兴趣

We both love the outdoors, beaches, water, massage, swimming, bonfires, art, film, traveling, organic gardening, running, hiking, snowshoeing, sailing, scuba diving, ski/ snowboarding, sauna, reading, good food, wine, conversation.
Oliver is crazy about playing Rugby.

We are interested in 'green' living, natural building, organic gardening, Permaculture.
Oliver has a huge knowledge about cameras and how to shoot movies and loves to share it with everybody who is interested.
We both speak German fluently and would love to learn Spanish.
