ABOUT ME

I love to make other people happy. It is so gratifying to bake someone cookies, to give someone a gift, to bring someone home for a fresh cooked meal, to smile at someone and know that you made them happier. After realizing that confidence is one of the most successful paths to happiness, I have decided it is one of the best gifts I can give someone.

I am trying to make my life as homemade as possible. Whenever I need something I try to figure out a way that I could make it myself - a dress, some mittens, a skiing race suit.

Nature makes me abundantly happy and I am a lover of the four seasons. I cross country ski in the winter and can not get enough biking in the other three seasons.

My favorite days are those when I walk around with a constant smile, smiling at everyone I see, and make everyone either wonder why I am so happy or have them return it to me with the same pleasure.

PHILOSOPHY

Life should not be lived to fit into a preset mold. It should be lived to meet your own expectations at whatever stage you may be in. Do not do something because it is someone else's expectation of you; it is better to make yourself happy

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to the program and am so eager to participate in both surfing and hosting in the future.

Interests

I love to make anything and everything - quilting, cooking, knitting, baking, igloo making, drawing.

I also have a passion for learning languages. I have aspirations to travel and cannot imagine trying to fit into cultures without being able to speak their native language.

Music is also a significant part of my life - both making and listening. I am a piano and trombone player and love to sing. It does not matter how good I am at any of them - I enjoy them immensely and that is what matters.

The Sound of Music is my favorite movie. Amélie also warms my heart; it is a beautiful film.
