About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finding the ultimate travel story and the platonic ideal of a beer.

ABOUT ME

I just love to travel. I haven't been able to stay in one place without moving around a little bit since college. I particularly like travelling in the Middle East, which I think is a highly misunderstood and misrepresented region. I don't really know what I want to do for a living, but I'm OK with that. Music has been part of my life since I can remember. I've been a member of the same karate dojo since I was 13. Actually, for someone who moves around so much, I have a lot of longstanding relationships and activities. New York is my hometown, but I feel just as comfortable in Amsterdam.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to treat people nicely and with respect, and they tend to treat me the same way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I just want to find couches, meet people, have experiences. As soon as possible (as in, when I stop travelling), I will provide a couch to fellow travellers. It's just karma.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't couch surfed using this site yet, but I'm hoping to change that. I have crashed at many friends of friends, however, so I know the drill.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent some time with the tree sitters at UC Berkeley. An amazing, beautiful, at times absurd and at times profound, always memorable experience. The best part was watching a cop and an activist go toe to toe about bee-traps. That is followed closely by watching rain sweep through the Old City of Sana, Yemen, the clouds disappearing just as suddenly as they showed up.

Teach, Learn, Share

Languages, in depth knowledge of middle eastern issues, martial arts, beer brewing.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Belize, France, Lebanon, Netherlands, Switzerland, Syrian Arab Republic, United States, Yemen
