ABOUT ME

I really want to see new things and try fun experiences. I've spent so much of my life learning French and Spanish. I'm now attempting a few other languages, but the point of it all is to be able to use the language on my travels and meet great people. I'm trying to travel as much as possible now so that hopefully I can settle down and get married. For now, it's all about the experiences!!

PHILOSOPHY

For you travelers out there, I'm sure you can grasp this idea: every time you go to a new place, there's a beautiful view or a a new friend you made or a funny happening that just occurred. and without fail, this is the memory that you will keep with you forever. you just kinda stop and say to yourself, "wow. this is life, beautiful life, at its best- and being here makes me happy."

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I always spread the word about this great program and I hope to continue to be an active global citizen. I want to host and surf and share!!

I pride myself in having a safe, CLEAN place for travelers to return to after a fun day of exploring--especially solo women travelers. I have done my fair share of travelling alone and i think women should feel safe to explore on their own and have a decent, honest and non-creepy host.

I don't want to babysit you, but I'll be happy to help with advice or a ride here or there. I'm not a hotel, so don't treat me like a receptionist or a maid. I just ask for common curtosy and respect.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met some very cool people thru this site, I still talk to them and hold our experiences dear to me. Thank god for this site...it's an AMAZING tool for globalization, friendship, communication and world peace!!

Música, películas y libros

Since iI became Muslim, my choice of entertainment is a little different. I still love all kinds of movies although I limit myself to the stuff that isn't too racey or with too much foul language.

These days, I like to listen to religious music in my car. Not necessarily because I like it, but because I HATE the crap on the radio these days!

I wish I had time or energy to read more, but when I am able I read things to help me learn more about my religion. Studying Islam is an ongoing process everyday. But I am always looking for anything interesting--and the time to read it.

Participating in TOMS SHOE DROP December 2008. Making a difference in another person's life makes a difference in your life. With the "one for one" program I gave children their first pair of shoes. I can only hope that I can be a part of many more projects similar to this. Look up TOMS! For every pair of shoes they sell, they donate to a child in need.

I want to learn EVERYTHING...and then pass along the info :) i know it sounds like an ambitious goal...but i'll give it a try.

I want to show people that not all Americans are so ignorant and rude. And that I can be of Asian origin without being fresh off the boat! I AM AMERICAN!

I would like to show the new friends i make the peace and happiness of ISLAM. I am a new muslim and proud of it. Unfortunately, most people from the west don't know the truth about Islam and what they think they know is from misinformed media. You will see when you meet me that we are just regular people with a strong faith. we don't have to talk about religion if you don't want, but I just hope you are open-minded.
