ABOUT ME
I was born in Atlanta and have been here most of my life. However, about 2 years ago, I went to Egypt, and it was unbelievable. Since then I have also been to Australia, which was equally amazing. I've definitely been bitten by the bug.
In general, I'm an easy-going person who doesn't take things too seriously. I enjoy laughing, especially at myself, and I try to live my life one day at a time. I love my family, and I love my friends like they were family. I'm a complete bleeding heart.
PHILOSOPHY
"I believe the ability to think is blessed. If you can think about a situation, you can deal with it. The big struggle is to keep your head clear enough to think."
- Richard Pryor
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
About two years ago, I bought a house in the East Atlanta Village (EAV). I have 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and only 1 me. So... I thought that I could perhaps share my good fortune by providing people with a home-away-from-home while meeting some interesting folks in the process and building some karma.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couch surfed a bit in college in order to follow bands around and hosted a few bands that would play in my kitchen. I still often crash on floors/couches/horizontal surfaces whenever I'm traveling from here to there.
Interests
The outdoors, running, rock climbing, hiking, camping, music, music festivals, art in general, chili cookoffs (I compete with a couple of buddies), technology, beer, scotch, and the occasional cigar.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I recently saw The Lives of Others and Battle Royale, I enjoyed them both
Music: Lots of stuff. My true loyalty lies with punk/hardcore/metal, but these days I listen to a wide variety of things. Lately it's been Bob Mould, Drive By Truckers, and The Replacements
Books: I mostly read non-fiction (memoirs, biography, commentary, etc.) but recently I've been reading more fiction, I'm currently reading Watchmen.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The pyramids at Giza were unbelievable. Aboslutely amazing. Uluru at Ayer's Rock was also incredible.
