ABOUT ME

I am married with 5 beautiful daughters and 11 grandchildren,my husband, was a proffesional fisherman but sold his licence 4yrs ago,and now is a fish filleter in the fish factory, that sells all seafood to our town. We also have quite a few foster kids coming in and out of our home, we love kids, and miss our own being home, I am involved with volunteer work with the Red Cross, and play Lawn bowls, my husband plays socially. I love walking my 2 small dogs and I go to craft learning scrapbooking and card making, which I am enjoying, also love music, am into Karaoke, my foster children love doing it when they are here, we recently had a Spanish couple stay with us who were couch surfers, my daughter from Adelaide sent them to us, as they wanted to do the shark cage trip here in pt lincoln, so I have had my first couch surfers, enjoyed them so much , I was inspired to join, we had a great time.

PHILOSOPHY

do not worry about what is not in your control, and strive to be happy and positive. there is an old saying, do not worry about yesterday as yesterday is gone, don't worry about tommorrow, it has enough worry of it's own, worry only about today it is a gift, that is why it is called "the present"

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We had a young Spanish couple here, from Edinborough, in Scotland. Our daughter in Adelaide is a C.S , and this couple were coming here to Pt Lincoln, to do the shark cage, so she rang us to see if we could have them in our home for a couple of days, was a bit unsure at first, but said yes, was bit nervous when she informed me that the young man was a qualified restaraunt chef , Yikes! I thought what will I cook them, but they loved my country cooking, {Whew !} They were a fantastic couple, it was just like having my own family home, we felt we could relax and enjoy, had a great time, felt very sad when they had to leave, hope to catch up with them one day again, they inspired us to join up, and have other people in our home, what a great way to make new friends all over the world. I thank my daughter for sending them to us .

On a trip to Alice springs, I overcome 2 of my lifetime fears, snakes and closterphobic, I held 2 live python snakes, and I went down into an old narrow mine at Coober Pedy.

we would like to show you the beautiful coastal beauty that Pt Lincoln has to offer, and the wild life that is in our national Parks, great place also for fishing, my husband has great knowledge about all the species of fish here also, we would like to learn about and taste food other countries eat {my Kitchen is yours}
