About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Turning my backpack into a teleportation device.

ABOUT ME

I am becoming who I have always wanted to be when I grow up. This involves a serious commitment to pursuing enlightenment through long distance bus meditation, conquering mountains, both physical and metaphorical, reading books, and staying true to a bold claim that I will eat any food the world has to offer, so long as it is served with alcohol. That being said, while I enjoy going out, I'm overall a pretty quiet, calm and peaceful person and I spend most of my time reading or drawing.

PHILOSOPHY

Good year.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate by hosting surfers as often as possible. I'm always up for coffee or a drink, or traveling around. Unfortunately I don't know where I am living right now, so I am unable to host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Better than a back flip.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books I Have Recently Read and Enjoyed:
Kafka On the Shore by Haruki Murakami
If On A Winter's Night a Traveller by Italo Calvino
Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie
The Hakawati by Rabih Alameddine
The Brief and Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Juon Diaz

As for music I generally enjoy anything of good quality that falls under the category of "electro indie folk jam funkadelic dub rock blues" especially live, and jazz is cool too.

The top 5 bands I want to see live (again) right now are:
Dicso Biscuits, Bassnectar, STS9, Pretty Lights, and Animal Collective

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The adoptions of my two littlest sisters have been two of the most amazing experiences of my life. Before this experience I had no idea that it was possible to unconditionally love someone that I had never met, and then love them even more.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am quick to scout out the best (and most affordable) food anywhere I live. I also spend a lot of time cooking with friends, so I'd love to show you my favorite restaurants if you're visiting my city, or collaborate on some sort of culinary masterpiece anywhere in the world.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
