Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To always learn, to always grow, to always better myself.
ABOUT ME
I enjoy the company of others who like to partake in long interesting conversations about anything and everything but I can also be extremely shy and quiet at times.
I am interested in learning how people can communicate better with each other.
I left my 15 year career in the tech industry to follow my passion for cooking and now own/operate a food cart.
I own a home that I share with 6 other people and am working on turning into an example of environmental, social, financial, and spiritual sustainable living in an urban setting. Shared resources, permaculture, food forests, rainwater harvesting, consensus based decisions, chickens, etc.
I am working on purging and minimizing my material belongings and living a simpler life where I enjoy the beauty of day-to-day experiences instead of amassing possessions.
I enjoy cooking with fresh local ingredients as much as I can.
PHILOSOPHY
To follow my passions and hope to inspire others to also do so, making the world a more beautiful place.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have just started hosting surfers through CS.org in my house but the idea of letting people I've just met crash on my couch is not new to me and something I've been practiceing for years, mostly just helping friends of friends who need a place to stay. I've also crashed on a lot of couches but mostly through informal networking via facebook, not as much through CS.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new to surfing though I've crashed on friends of friends' couches before when travelling. I have hosted many people at my home.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movie wise I tend to like certain directors such as Kubrick, Paul Thomas Anderson, Kaufman, etc. I love good sci-fi that is less flashy effects oriented and explores interesting ideas (Contact for example). My favorite film of all times is Brazil.
In terms of Music, I like just about anything, specially if I can dance to it. Dubstep, gypsy punk, jazz, blues, hip-hop, Bhangra, etc all fun.
I've not read a lot of fiction lately, focusing primarily on books about sustainability (specially related to food) and personal spiritual development. "Omnivore's Dilemma" by Michael Polan is one of my favorite books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been to the Burning Man Festival (www.burningman.org) eight times and it has simply been one of the most amazing, transformative, life changing, spiritual, ecstatic experiences of my life. The art, the music, the waves of dust circling around me as I wander aimlessly through the night. I have no words to truly describe it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to cook and love to teach others how to do so.
I really enjoy helping people feel more comfortable with using technology.
I would like to learn how to play the cello.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'll cook you some of the best damn Indian food you've ever eaten. :)
