About Me

ABOUT ME

I was a permaculture teacher and practitioner converting 3.2 acres into a thriving permaculture project in Pai, northern Thailand. Nearly four years ago, I returned to Europe to study. I just finished my bachelor in environmental sustainability and started a masters in sustainable agriculture. In between studies I go on rock climbing and long distance cycling trips. My dream is to get a van to travel between the nicest climbing and nature spots (summer plans)! For now, I'm taking a semester off for an internship with the FAO in Rome until March 2018. So I am looking for locals in Rome to show me the best of the city and I really hope to meet nice climbing buddies for the coming months!

PHILOSOPHY

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Really too many to list. Most recently I've enjoyed Octavia Butler's 'The Parable of the Sower', Margaret Atwood's 'Oryx and Crake' and Ursula LeGuin's 'Left Hand of Darkness.' Now I'm really enjoying the fantasy series 'The Name of the Wind.'

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking Denali NP in Alaska = wild grizzlies, eagles, foxes, moose, caribou, arctic squirrels and the tallest mountain in north america (mt mckinley)

Climbing an 11 pitch multi-pitch (ca. 360 m) in the Todra Gorge in Morocco, ending up climbing in the dark with no hope of absailing and a dying headlight and no more water. Ended up climbing to the stars and topping out and hiking down by moonlight. Incredible!

Cycling through Iceland on what may have been the worst road I've ever been on and running out of water. Seriously you'd think I'd learn to bring more water at some point! :P
