Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to fulfill the urge of seeing the world and enjoying the life that we have.

ABOUT ME

My name is Alejandro, Graduate of ISU Agriculture program. I enjoy traveling the world and waking up in new places. Growing plants is a deep passion and I guess you can say thats what makes me "down to earth" haha. I enjoy being outdoors, going on hiking trails, running, frisbee golf and Capoeira. Cannabis connoisseur (^.^).
I'm seeking to develop my personal skills that will propel my life to the next stage.

Some of the best people I have ever connected with were always from other countries, its amazing to see just how unique each person can be. Some of the places I have traveled to include: Japan, Brazil, and Mexico, Europe, and Korea.

PHILOSOPHY

"It's also like the game of hide-and-seek, because it's always fun to find new ways of hiding, and to seek for someone who doesn't always hide in the same place.

God also likes to play hide-and-seek, but because there is nothing outside God, he has no one but himself to play with. But he gets over this difficulty by pretending that he is not himself. This is his way of hiding from himself. He pretends that he is you and I and all the people in the world, all the animals, all the plants, all the rocks, and all the stars. In this way he has strange and wonderful adventures, some of which are terrible and frightening. But these are just like bad dreams, for when he wakes up they will disappear.
Now when God plays hide and pretends that he is you and I, he does it so well that it takes him a long time to remember where and how he hid himself. But that's the whole fun of it—just what he wanted to do.
He doesn't want to find himself too quickly, for that would spoil the game. That is why it is so difficult for you and me to find out that we are God in disguise, pretending not to be himself. But when the game has gone on long enough, all of us will wake up, stop pretending, and remember that we are all one single Self—the God who is all that there is and who lives for ever and ever." - Alan Watts

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

To be apart of an amazing network of like minded travelers with a curiosity for cultures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience with CS: Arrived in Germany and met with our german couchsurfers. After a day of traveling around Frankfurt we were debating what to to do in the evening. "Lets go to Amsterdam!" said one of our hosts friends, Next thing we know we are driving 5hr to get to Amsterdam. Only to end up sleeping on the docks, 5 people in a car, missing the nightlife action we originally drove there for. Thats aways a good way to start any trip!

Intereses

Im interested in learning new languages, meeting new people, and traveling to see the world. I have started to reopen my eyes to the infinite possibilities that lay before me. The world is ours for the taking, we just got to reach out and grab it.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

Life is full of unexpected events. But what i have learned to really see is that you got to just take a look and view it from all sides. When i was in Japan i was put with a really rough and strict host family and i dreaded being with, but in my last days there i realize that being there was good for me. It taught me to be patient and made me realize the other good things that i had. Everyone and everything in the world can teach you something great. All you have to do is take a moment and give it a try.
