About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to do the things i love more often: play trumpet, climb and learn more languages (chinese).
ABOUT ME
we're travelling now after a brilliant 3-4 years in living in china in the wonderful and varied cities qingdao and zhuhai. check out Jamie Bettles for a more 'pimped up' profile since we're travelling together :)
so... departed from the wonderful land of Sheff(ield) about four years ago and having fun discovering new places, enjoying new atmospheres etc. started travelling then headed to qingdao, china in june 2009 where me and jamie originally were going to spend six months but ended up staying a year and a half! check out qingdao, it's an amazing city with some wonderful CSers. then we were in zhuhai enjoying the southern chinese life for 18months before saying goodbye to china (for now!) in october '12.
My background: I did a degree in International Development and French at UEA (Norwich) and got chance to to some social work/development/youth project work experience in Senegal for a bit.
I have been teaching English in China which I think is a brilliant job so will continue that but now going to focus on teaching in the UK by going back to UK (manchester) to do some training.
trumpet playing is fun too. I have it with me on my travels so any chance to play would be cool. i like climbing and the beautiful peak district that us Sheffielders are so lucky to have on our doorstep.
brilliant times...
PHILOSOPHY
hmm.. I wish I could come up with something profound here
