I'm a 7-years-car-free commuting cyclist (update: just bought a motorcycle), scuba diver, runner, health researcher, and aspiring prison abolitionist.

I love having pseudo-philosophical conversations, green harissa on just about anything , playing guitar, and learning new skills.

In recent years I've been tutoring English and Environmental Studies, building veggie gardens for elementary school kids, deckhanding on a fleet of dive boats, teaching kids cycling and street skills, public health/environmental justice stuff, etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At my last house we hosted a lot of travelers, between WarmShowers cyclists and Couchsurfing folk. Presently I'm scouting places to stay while I'm in Seattle (7/8/16 - 7/11/16) touring UW and getting to know the city by bike.
