Overview
About Me
Sorry, can't host in Tokyo currently as I am out of Tokyo currently.
Anyone can have free accommodation in my Kamakura house (Kamakura-shi Gokurakuji 3-14-21, near to Gokurakuji station on the Enoden line) as long as you like if you help out with cleaning or gardening or IT help for 2-3 hours every am.
Kamakura is one hour south of Tokyo, was Japan's capital city in the 13th century and has many beautiful temples, is relaxing and near the beach, and is often called Little Kyoto, very beautiful. My Kamakura house is a 100 year old traditional house and an experience all in itself.
CURRENT MISSION
To find my mission in life (and to find a live-in web-site manager!)
ABOUT ME
Social anthropologist currently doing fieldwork in Japan.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
IT IS VERY UNLIKELY THAT I CAN HOST YOU JUST FOR A DAY OR TWO.
If you want to meet for a drink it is unlikely I can tell you that more than a day or two in advance....feel free to try me that am or the day before.
We are actively involved in work for accommodation sites and usually have helper who work 2 hours a day for free accommodation so it is more likely we will accept people staying at least a week, and as long as possible, on those terms.
I am fairly new to couch surfing but have hosted literally hundreds of people through the wwoofing and helpx programmes.
I usually have one or two wwoofers, helpxers or couchsurfers at my house all the time. We are more likely to accept you if you stay for longer than just a few days, and if you help us out for 2 hours per day like the helpers do. We always have gardening and cleaning in the Kamakura 100 year old traditional house, and usually have IT and social media tasks to do in the Tokyo house.
