ABOUT ME

I am a researcher in biology and for my work I spend several months per year in Africa studying grasshoppers. I have 25 years of experience with meeting kind, interesting, generous, funny and happy people both abroad and in 'everyday life' and I decided to go on with that hobby for a very long time still. So whenever I am home, anyone is welcome to visit me and if I have time and might even be able to show you around in Groningen.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

People are welcome to surf a couch at my place and whenever I will go on holiday again, I'll probably try to surf a bit myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't surfed another couch yet (that is, not via the CS network), but so far two Surfers visited me for a coffee and a dinner.

- biology. I'm lucky enough to have this hobby for a living.
- in parks looking at the behaviour of strange people
- real coffee.
- literature.
- Music. Just listening. Unfortunately, I never learned to play
- debating. I'm member of a debating organization
- Schadenfreude. I guess I shouldn't be to proud of this... Anyway.
- cooking. I love cooking, especially for other people. I often cook without meat, although I'm not a 'strict' vegetarian. I don't like doing the dishes though...
- diving. Learned that in South-Africa. Unfortunately, it's been a while since my last dive
- tennis. From time to time
