CURRENT MISSION
To infiltrate the globe!
ABOUT ME
Hello, I'm a friendly and hyperactive part Canadian part kiwi. I currently form one half of a travelling party of two, which also involves my boyfriend Tian who is a South African Kiwi. We've both just finished 5 years of university study and now have some pretty awesomely useless (and useful?) qualifications in Fine Arts (and Teaching), and Psychology(Tian). Together we have some pretty varied interests, We both like playing awesome games and drinking beer, snorkling, dancing, and (surprisingly) travelling. Tian himself is secretly sports mad, following a variety of sports ranging from cricket to cup stacking, as well as a trivia enthusiast (which helps because I can never remember any hard facts!). I on the other hand, can be found secretly doing my new found friend YOGA, stage managing shows when I have the time (and the employers!), gardening (digging holes) and attempting to outclass my flatmates in xbox. (still failing)
PHILOSOPHY
I do not believe on sitting on the couch doing nothing.
I believe in getting out there and trying new things and talking to new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been participating in couch surfing for 2 and a bit years, and this profile started off as one of the multiple faces of flat in Auckland which housed hoards of wonderful couch surfers as well as the extremely jolly 'League of the Mundane' as the flatmates were known. Now, however 'The League of the Mundane'has gone international with 3 of the original hosts in different cities around the world, and our flat has been left in the careful hands of friends and couch surfers we have met during our adventures as hosts. Now, as a fragment of the great union that once was I'm headed off on my own adventure with my new comrade in action Tian and we are going to be participating by being one of the faces we saw so often peaking up from our floor or couch, and sharing our love of meeting new people and hearing new stories by going out an exploring the world!!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We had about 25 sets of couch surfers come though our old flat, (my other flatmate also has an account) and it was brilliant to come home from class and have some new flatmates hanging out in the living room. My favorite experience was with this american couple who happened to arrive on the night of party and just totally got into it like one of the family.
