ABOUT ME

My name is Chris,
first there was a boring life that started to feel more and more uncomfortable with commercial way ...after I get my college degree I decided to travel one year trough Australia,New Zealand, USA and England... doing different jobs to earn money, feel beeing alive again and to make lots of unpayable experiences with awesome people and life situations.

After that journey , I wasn t able to get a place to studi in Germany, thats why I worked a little bit to save money and planed my next trip, the Camino Santiago.

After that I studied half a year film-production in Berlin, before I decided to break up and go back to my hometown Düsseldorf for thinking about future plans...
in October I moved to Kiel in the north of Germany to studi Sociology and Political Science...after that I continued my studies in Frankfurt am Main and finished my Bachelor in my hometown Düsseldorf.

From this point I was free to work for all world-rescuing idealistic Organizations like Greenpeace, Amnesty and other...but only one problem...they like to have people with 1-2 years work experience, but dont educate campaigners...hard times! But with a lot of patience I started to build some own projects like a neighbourhood initiative and supported good projects like refugee-convois and refugee initiatives in my town to get more and more experience.

Update 2022:
Times past so fast, now I am a Filmmaker since 2018 in Düsseldorf. Not the perfect idealistic way I wished, but as close as possible, making a lot heart-projects and supporting good initiatives that help to make the world a bit better. Now at an age of 36 I ask myself if I want to life outside the city, maybe find a community and look how it feels beeing at places that remind me to „Heidi-Landscape“. At the moment I travel in bavaria, switzerland, austria and Italy to see if I can find a new paradise for life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I decided to live at a friends place and cancel my appartment - the background is that I want to save money to travel and be flexible if I find a new place I like to stay.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed some couches and it was always fun and nice experience, hope to get more chances to surf and one day the possibility to give all this back to the people, when I can host someone in future.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A crazy skydive in Byron Bay...watching kangaroos, eating with a friend pomegrande with joghurt while sun is going down over the ocean ... and so many other things...!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My amazing cooking skills and specially one vegan recipe that everyone loved so far...this is maybe one of my favourite presents, cause one time a very good friend gived it to me with the challenge to cook it for 5 more people...after that we ended our friendship, but since that I cooked it for more than 20 people and love to think back good times with my friend :)

I can also share a lot of empathy and like to listen to people, when they tell me about their big topics in life and have this kind of shining in their eyes :) Sometimes I can also give people with uncertainty another perspective on their own and most feel better after that...I wish I could do the same to myself, if I feel uncertain...if anyone can teach me, please do it! ;)
