ABOUT ME

I'm an artist, musician & photographer about to embark on the trip of a lifetime that will take me across Central Asia, perhaps through Africa and onwards to New Zealand. I have been dreaming about this trip for the last ten years and am only now in the process of actually manifesting it. This trip has many purposes, but my primary goal is to photograph several cultures in ways that illustrate our common, human traits. To draw attention to our similarities and unite us through candid imagery. It is also a means of coming to understand and KNOW that I am whole and complete on my own....that I carry the safest 'home' within myself... and that I am never really alone....

PHILOSOPHY

Gratitude.....before all else, gratitude for one's blessings and gifts...will always lead to more and more to be grateful for....

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to this, having learned about it through my good friend, Devon who rode through Europe on a bicycle and surfed many couches. His account of his experiences has made me yearn for meaningful connections such as the ones he made while traveling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed a couch in Flagstaff with my dear friends, Ayla & Yoav, as we made our way from New Mexico to San Francisco in August...

this category always intimidates me. How could I possibly list all the books & music that have so influenced my life? Such a list would take years to compile and, even then, couldn't possibly contain all that my appreciation includes. Suffice it to say that I am well-read and that my musical preferences are broad and far-reaching.

Teach, Learn, Share

My gift is timing...a silent understanding of when to press the shutter. We all have lovely moments, and we all have bland moments...I just happen to be adept at capturing the former...

I also greatly enjoy spending time with new cameras, getting to know their functions and quirks and then teaching their owners how best to utilize them. Perhaps you've always wondered what all those functions are for? Let's have a mini-tutorial! It would be my absolute pleasure!
