ABOUT ME

If it were possible, I would live in a van that would have retractable wings and tires (to turn to a boat) with a trailer containing a library of books and records, a couple beer taps in the back, a couple of friends in the front, and ran on nothing but "good vibes." And I'd go everywhere.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've grown quite fond of Boise, and would love to show any couchsurfers around. I also hope to get to spend some time with locals from places I've never been. I figure someone who lives somewhere can show it better than a guidebook written by someone who's only visited a bunch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

spent two months surfing all over Europe, and it was the best experience of my life thus far.

Music: i'm nearly constantly searching for new music but some i think will never grow old are the national, destroyer, sunset rubdown, swan lake, john vanderslice, frightened rabbit, beirut, the antlers, sigur ros, bloc party, passion pit, animal collective, broken social scene, bon iver, shearwater, of montreal, vampire weekend, okkervil river, and more to come...

and those that are already timeless are bob dylan, david bowie, led zeppelin, the beatles, the rolling stones, the kinks, jimi hendrix, creedence, queen, crosby, stills, nash, and young (together or separate), steve miller band, jethro tull, cream, and plenty more to discover in bins at record stores and flea markets...

Movies: my favorite kinds of movies are the ones such as: trainspotting, memento, the big lebowski, close encounters of the third kind, garden state, clockwork orange, waking life, vanilla sky, stranger than fiction, high fidelity

Books: I haven't read as many as I would like, but here are some that I've enjoyed lately: one hundred years of solitude, trainspotting, the unbearable lightness of being, one flew over the cuckoo's nest, a clockwork orange, on the road, the audacity of hope, freakonomics, the electric kool aid acid test
