ABOUT ME

I am a 27 year old male living in Austin TX. I love this city and will be here as long as I live in this state. I was a chef for 10 years until I got burnt out on the long hours and lack of social interaction. Now I am going to school for Commercial Music Management and running a small booking/mng. company called Free Beer Entertainment. I love to show new music to others so booking shows for bands that need the help is a perfect job for me. I can also assist in sound, merch, tour mng., etc... I love to travel all over but tend to end up on a beach somewhere. The best part of traveling to me is getting into the culture via local food. You can learn so much from what others eat. I feel it is a very big part of travel that people need to grab a hold of. Another thing I like to do when in a new place is go out and hear some local live music. It is such a treat when I hear something that no body else I know is hearing or even knows about. Then I get to spread the word!!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am participating in this to meet new people. It could be in my travels or theirs but I think this is a great way to meet people who may be similar to you in a way to at least make their or your own stay a little more enjoyable. I feel it will be a great way to network for the business I am in as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted more than I have surfed however I find each equally rewarding. My favorite experience to date was NYE 2009-2010 here in Austin. I must have spent the eve with 10 CS'rs all of which did not know each other at the beginning of the night. After a night of dancing at Beauty Bar and an after party at my condo til the sun came up we all parted ways and still keep in touch on a regular basis... What a beautifully serendipitous night!!!

Surfed 15 foot waves in Mexico. The beach I grew up on in Texas rarely had surf over 6 feet.

Spent 10 days on the road with Alice Freakin Cooper!! While tour managing for TAT...
