ABOUT ME

We are two University students who have been friends for just over a decade. We went travelling and couchsurfing together so we've kept our joint profile for future use.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In 2009 we travelled around Europe in a car we bought in Estonia (and named Frank) and we met many couchsurfers along the way. We then sold the car and flew out to South-East Asia where we backpacked.
So far we've both only surfed but we both hope to host in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The experiences so far have been excellent.

Interessi

Lucy: I love the arts in all its forms, particularly drama and am a keen performer. I love to sing, dance, paint, take photos and experience as much as possible. I am very interested in history and literature as well.

Dave: My main interest is music, particularly jazz as I play the saxophone. I would love to sample some traditional music from every country we visit. I also enjoy going out having a drink and a dance.

Musica, film e libri

A few of our firm favourites are 'Sahara', 'Love Actually' and 'Hairspray' but we enjoy most chick flicks and rom coms and the occasional action film. We love going to see stand-up comedy and live music/theatre too.
Book-wise Dave is into trashy spy thrillers, his favourite being Jack Higgins, but I prefer classic literature such as The Woman in White or a modern novel such as Waterland.
Music wise Dave is a very keen jazz musician both in playing (he's really good!)and discovering new things - Europe has some renowned Jazz festivals that we are looking forward to attending. I also like jazz and also show tunes and country music.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

When we were travelling, we saw the Northern Lights in Norway. We also climbed a volcano in Indonesia and at night we watched the lava flowing from it glow.

Insegna, impara, condividi

Between us we've got a decent knowledge of British history and culture, theatre as a whole and popular and jazz music. We're both keen to learn about everything.
