To meet new folks during my road trip through Spain in January 2009

ABOUT ME

After studying in Leeds I co-ordinated a housing project called LATCH renovating derelict houses to provide homes for young homeless people. During this time I lived aboard and restored a couple of narrowboats. After 7 years of that I realised that at 28 years old I'd been there quarter of my life so ran away and joined the circus! I spent four summers touring with Croissant Neuf Circus, a travelling solar powered circus and environmental education project. During the winters I did a combination of building work and working as a PA for a friend who is tetraplegic.
I now live in a converted removals lorry in the mountains of North Wales and tour UK festivals every summer with 'Sunny Jim's Solar Powered Cabaret'. I spent the last few months working for a plumber installing solar hot water systems to save up for a trip to Spain in January. I'll be footloose and fancy-free heading for some winter sun and hoping to meet new people to explore and have fun with.
Oh, one last thing: Soy vegetariano. Hay algo sin carne?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just joined; surfing through Andalucia, Spain. Looking forward to finishing making the guest bed in my truck so I can host when I get home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just joined; half way through my tour of Andalucia, Spain and now on my third couch and I'm loving it!

Willing to give most movies, books and music a go (though I've yet to find an opera I enjoy). Love live music and most kinds of live performance, read every day. Not really a fan of modern Hollywood films tho like the classics, English and European cinema.

I've managed to live off-grid in the UK getting all my electricity from solar panels for the last fifteen years. Two years ago I co-ordinated the design and installlation of a solar electricity system for a rehabilitation centre for landmine vicitims in Cambodia.
