About Me

...always dreaming and scheming...
Work hard, save hard, travel harder!

Since graduating in 2008 I've been working and travelling throughout the World and now I can't stop!

I want to reconnect with the CS community after this coronashit nearly annihilated backpacking!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people and sharing stories and fun times. Half of travelling is the people you meet and the friends you make.
Couchsurfing is the perfect tool!
Well... it used to be. The greedy assheads that run couchsurfing have basically destroyed the community! Restricting profiles without payment is disgusting and all of the group events have diappeared!! Such a shame....

Interests

Backpacking, music, drumming, comedy, challenging the norm, climbing mountain peaks, thinking, drinking, laughing, joking and meeting new people!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many spring to mind...surviving birth, risking my life on the Cho-La Pass after climbing Everest Base Camp, travelling up the entire length of the Amazon river by slow boat, exploring an illegal part of the Paris catacombs, wild camping East to West and then North to South of the UK, hitchhiking from Fairbanks to Vancouver down the Alaskan highway, admiring sunset at the Monastery in Petra, staring up at the Milky Way in the Aussie outback, driving from London to Mongolia through the Pamir Highway in a little Nissan Micra, not vomiting at the Kilimanjaro summit, working under the Northern Lights, drinking Kvint in Transnistria - a country that doesn't technically exist, taking photos at Salar de Uyuni, walking 1000km from St Jean Pied de Port to Finisterre on the Camino de Santiago, feeding a giraffe with my mouth in Nairobi, skydiving Fox Glacier at sunset, reaching the summit of Gunung Merapi just weeks before it erupted, tubing drunk down the Mekong River, cruising through the Antarctica peninsula and slipping on penguin poop, resisting the gambling in Las Vegas, camping through the Gobi desert, coming face to face with a great white shark, graduating from my degree, surviving the Worlds largest canyon swing, photographing sunrise over Fitz Roy and Torres De Paine in Patagonia, driving over the Stelvio Pass, kissing a Mongolian Eagle, scuba-diving in Belize, watching sunrise at Monument Valley from my tent, cramponing and pick- axeing my way to 6088m on Huayna Potosi, watching my football team Norwich City win promotion at Wembley, being brushed by a bull-shark, motorbiking to Pai and around the Mae Hong Son loop, clambering through a closed part of the Chinese Wall....
But.....
The one most AMAZING thing I did was to change my life at 29 years old and go backpacking!
