ABOUT ME

I am a seminary student in Laramie, Wy. I will be graduating in August and my wife and I may be moving back to Lubbock, TX to work for a campus ministry there. I love the outdoors especially rock climbing. My wife and I have tried a lot of new things here in Wyoming (including ice fishing) and have had a blast living in a new place for a year.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have loved my experiences with CS. For two years in college I lived in a house with 7 roommates and we had a blast hosting people from all over the world. I have also enjoyed surfing. I love the concept of CS and will do it for the rest of my life. My wife and I now live in a very small apartment, so we haven't been able to host any surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Great so far. I have hosted people from Europe, Asia, and all over the US. I have surfed in Texas and in Colorado. I have met some amazing people.

Interests

Being in seminary is taking up most of my time, and being a newly wed is taking up the rest of it. However, we are still able to get away for an afternoon of snow shoeing, rock climbing, or hiking. We are also mad bocce ball players!

Favorite bands right now are White Denim, Band of Horses, The Black Keys, Nada Surf, The Walkmen, Okkervil River, and Manchester Orchestra

Some of my favorite movies are Lucky Number Slevin, Little Miss Sunshine, The Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore, The Untouchables, Snatch, The Usual Suspects, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Pulp Fiction, Man on Fire, Bromo and Juliet (1926), Into The Wild, and Let the Right One In

Favorite books include The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Catcher In the Rye, Treasure Island, Yes Man, and A Confederacy of Dunces

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been to 16 different countries and experienced many things. I will leave it at that. I have had many very enjoyable experiences. I got to go hitchhiking with my girlfriend this summer and we had a ton of fun. I hope to do more of it in the future.
