Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm fairly new to the project. I am looking forward to exploring the people that I may meet and the possibilities that may arise in my future surfing.
I'm also very keen on the idea of hosting and invite you to contact me if you plan on coming on through Denver, Colorado. It would be great to meet ya!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The only experience I have is not related to this site. It was when I was first exploring the possibility of moving to Denver from New York. I had come out to Denver for a week in December of 2005. I am an avid snowboarder and wanted to get at least one day in the Rockies riding some powder. I rented a Dodge Neon (what they had in my price range... not ideal for the mountains obviously) and headed up. It ended up dumping snow all day... getting me stuck in the parking lot at Breckenridge. I ended up meeting a couple of guys working in the shop... they offered me their couch... and I happily accepted!
They turned out to be really great people... went out... had a good time... crashed in their living room... went riding the next day for a bit and they even helped me dig out my little plastic car.
I can look back on that experience and smile because of the people I met that day. So Pete, thanks... wherever you are, dude...
