About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Become a doctor, smile everyday and remember to tell people about their qualities

ABOUT ME

The most important thing to me is to stay happy. I believe in the power of an honest smile. From a friend, a lover or a stranger in the street - it always have an effect and I see it as my most important mission in the everyday to remember to smile as much as possible.
The thing about smiling is that you very easily get in contact with new people which is a thing I can hardly ever get enough of. It's great to get new friends and meet new cultures! In generel, I am a very social person, I know a lot of people and my friends are very very important to me. I Hurt my friends, and I bite!
Besides from smiling and being social, I looove music! It's my passion. Playing it, singing it, listening to it - even dancing silly around in the rain to music is amazing. Music has been a part of me since I was only a few years old.
I am a little party freak too and love my city Copenhagen (and Rome<3). I've just got into the medicine in Copenhagen, I try my best to pay attention to people around me a create a good atmosphere, I like to joke and talk alot and usually get called crazy once every day ;) But who isn't a bit crazy in these days? ;)
In generel: I am very easy-going, I don't need much as long as I have nice people around me, I love music, traveling, friends, parties, etc. and I try my best to smile at everybody on my way through life :)

PHILOSOPHY

A smile is the prettiest thing you can wear

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I move a lot around in Copenhagen and whenever I live alone or with people who also likes to host I try to make room for as many travellers and friends as possible :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started out like a total newbie at Berlin Winter Camp 08/09 without even a clue about which mile stone I was about to pass - the couchsurfer community changed my way of living and believing.
Later I just traveled around with myself, a backpack and my 'cat' Felix (he is on some of the pictures) and met heaps of great people on the road and at different CS camps :)
I've been hosted in a dusin of countries and I still love the surprise of realising how friendly and open-armed people can welcome a stranger :)
I lived a couple of places in Copenhagen and hosted about 30 people - sometimes we have been 7 people of different cultures and nationalities sharing my small nest and I love it :)

I just have my fingers crossed for more to come :)

Interests

Besides my interest for my medicine study I love music and have played classical piano since I was about 6 years old. Music is my big love - it makes me feel and feel alive.
I've also played some guitar, sang in a choir, and went to a gymnasium (kinda high school) with special focus on music. Since I study medicine now there is not much time for playing music but I still use music everyday by listening, singing and now and then by playing on my roommate's electrical piano - but I must admit I really prefere a 'true' piano made by wood and strings (I'm kinda old-fashion when it comes to instruments).

Also, I'm a nature lover! When I'm away from the city and lost in a forest or especially near the sea I feel home. I didn't grow up in a big city but near the water and with fields and forest and I guess it defines me more than I'm aware of.. I feel connected to the nature and all things that live in it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Where to start?!?! Too much awesome music.. Gonna fill this one out some day when it rains or something like that.

Okay starting now anyway 'cos big music must be honored!

First of all I'm mostly an old classic rock kinda girl - Pink Floyd, Guns 'N' Roses, Beatles, The Eagles, Rolling Stones, Nirvana, Linkin Park..

But I'm kinda open-minded when it comes to music and most genres fits my taste. Since I've been playing classical music most of my life I really love that kind of music as well - I'm fascinated about who one person can compose such developing and exploring a sound as a classical piece for an orchestra can have. Somehow it just sounds like so much more than most other genres like, lets say, pop.

Another type of music for my heart is reaggae. The easy-going sound combined with the feeling of love and positivity - it brings so much joy :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumped out of a small, pink airplane from 15.000 feet with my boyfriend, free fall for 1 minute, 200 km/h, until we finally released the parachutes and landed in Taupo, New Zealand.

Saw the rainforest meet the Great Barrier Reef at Cape Tribulation in Australia - paradise on Earth!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I really want to learn italian and have been planning to go to Italy on some italian language courses for two months this summer (2009) but I might have to postpone it some months or a year because of other travel plans.
I have taught kids and youngsters how to swim in the ocean for several summers so any water problems and I'll love to give a piece of advice :)
Furthermore I've been playing piano for more than a decade, some guitar too and are well educated when it comes to music theory and especially harmonic progression.
