About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live as relaxed as possible, trying not to hurt others - and me!
ABOUT ME
Age is a question of mind over matter - if you don't mind, it doesn't matter!
Although already in my fifties, I guess I stayed young at heart, maybe because I'm working as a social worker most of the time with teenagers, who have problems with their families - to support them, it's necessary to understand their minds.
I'm not the party-type anymore, but I love my friends and to spend time with them, cooking, eating, drinkink, talking, laughing - feeling very close to eachother.
The last years, while staying with my family in Turkey and in Austria, bringing up my children, there was always a lack of money and time to travel, now slowly slowly I've got more possibilities again to see other places - and I'm longing for it!
But I'm also looking forward to host people in Vienna in my house and get a glimpse at their lives, maybe even making new friends....
PHILOSOPHY
Whatever I do, I try to do it as good as I can and enjoying it - no matter if it's being a mother, a friend - or a host to a couch-surfer!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
It's too early for me to answer this question, I'm new at CS, I have to learn about the different possibilities to support this wonderful idea!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I learned only recently about couch-surfing from my 19-year old daughter and I think its a wonderful idea !! Actually for me its nothing completly new, because when I travelled years or even decades ;-) ago, friends used to send us further on to their friends and so on and we slept on various couches all over the world.... And there were also friends and their friends coming to stay with us, specially the years we lived in Turkey, next to a marvellous beach, our house was always full with guests in the summertime.
Interests
I love my job - and this keeps me very busy, next to this I take care of my family and friends, I love to read and I take part in a literature-group, I like to watch TV, documentary films and films, I like caberet and sometimes go to pop-concerts - but most of the time my friends and me meet in one of our houses to spend time with eachother. Since last year very close friends and me bought a weekend house in Hungary, which needs restauration and care, and I love to spend time there.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music of the sixties and seventies, like to visit music-festivals like "the summer of love" - which took place in austria last year...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
every day is amazing - seen a lot, done a lot, loved a lot - and still do - more or less nothing regretted - and with my children I hope to have let a few footprints on this imperfect but still wonderful world - and hopefully still left a lot of time to make some more dreams come true!
Teach, Learn, Share
Unfortenately I don't have exceptional skills - but all my friends tell me, I am a very good cook - and with this talent I managed to run an austrian cafe-restaurant in Turkey successfully for ten years with my husband...
So I would love to teach some secrets about the wonderful austrian Cuisine while you stay with me...
On the other hand I just bought a weekend-house in Hungary together with my best friends and I would love to learn Hungarian, to communicate better with my neighbours.
