ABOUT ME

I live in Los Angeles, near Venice Beach and Santa Monica, but have been bouncing around Italy for about 9 months now -- eating! traveling! learning! and making friends!

I firmly believe that I am solar powered. I love the sun and prefer to be sitting outside in a park during the day than partying in a club at night. I love the beach, biking, walking around aimlessly, playing soccer (yes, this is what American girls do and I am probably better than you!) I swim, do yoga, enjoy reading, learning Italian and pretending to understand Italian. I also pretend to surf. It's paddling around the water at Sunset which is the best part of surfing.

PHILOSOPHY

Follow your heart and you always end up in the right place, even when you don't know why or what you are doing there!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

At first I was doubtful -- I mean staying with strangers and offering them your couch???!! However, so far, so good! I have hosted a few CSers for coffee and fun at the beach in LA and we have had a great time. I have met amazing people in Italy and everyone has been so generous and open to lend a helping hand... maybe it's an Italian CS thing :)
One recommendation I have for anyone who is new and doubtful like I was: Join a few CS groups to get to know the CS people actively participating in the city you are visiting. Groups allow you to become familiar with both the place and people in a particular city, share ideas and I makes CS more tangible and less intimidating -- at least this is the female perspective! It's a great way to meet up with fellow travelers and share ideas.
