ABOUT ME

im a little aussie gal from desert australia (you know mad max?? i was born and bred where that was filmed!) i moved to sydney as a 16yr old to study dance and drama. My parents are originally american (long story as to how we ended up in desert australia...) In sydney i went to art school for university and then found myself working at a school that teaches pole dancing (yes like a stripper... but no not for money, for excercise! pole dancing is the new yoga in sydney...) now i am travelling to expand my world and narrow down my place in it... i am still confused... apparently this takes time... a whole life time...

PHILOSOPHY

you can do anything you want if you are prepared to try. avoid trying to find the meaning of life! if it is all you are searching for and you by chance find it what is there left to do? i believe there is no great lesson to learn but lots of little ones along the way

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i have had surfers on my couch for years (un-oficially... only just discovered there is a formal network!). travellers bring a breath of fresh energy and a new lease on my own perspective. through showing people around my own city i discovered more of it! now i am travelling and hoping to find others to share the adventure with!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

none of my household was ever a member of this network but it was not unusual to come home from work to a loaded backpack stashed on my couch and a little traveller smiling and ready to play! i loved this and it was quite a shock to later move in with a household to whom this idea was a big inconvenience!! in sydney we took in whole families of a couple wonderful people we met who i will forever consider my best friends and some of the best people on this earth! if you are not open to new experiences you will never know if you like them or not

music: ani difranco, kimya dawson, sia, little birdy, van morison, crowded house, antony and the johnsons... this list could go on forever... books: i love clasic literature eg great gatsby, the bell jar, tenessee williams... also others such as the mystery of the dog in the night time, secret diary of a call girl and hitchikers guide to the galaxy... movies: too many! royal tenenbaums, the princess bride, snatch, dogville, happy go lucky...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

slept under the stars in the middle of nowhere australian desert...
