ABOUT ME

I have been traveling a lot the past few years and I always like to share where I live with people and meet people from other places. It is time to give back a little after being helped out so much in the past.

PHILOSOPHY

I feel that you must travel to learn about yourself and doing it alone can be even more beneficial. It is nice to travel in pairs for the company, but doing it alone teaches you the most. I also feel that exploring and learning things at a younger age is the best way and time. So don't hold things off until its too late.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to use this service as a way to meet people, travel to places and be able to save money at the same time. I have not had the opportunity to allow people to stay at my place by using couch surfing, but I have had my German friends stay at my place in the US for 3 nights and numerous other friends. I am all for it. And as soon as I get back I will open my doors to other travelers who appreciate this act of kindness.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have allowed my German friends to stay at my place in the US. In Norway I had a Norwegian student, literally sleep on the small couch in my dorm for a night because he had no where else to go. I have had the privilege to have a kind old Norwegian lady let me stay at her place in Flekkefjord because I had no where else to stay that night.

Interests

I like outdoors things, such as mountain biking, hiking, climbing, skiing and kayaking. I also enjoy other sports such as tennis and basketball. I'm a big fan of pro cycling. I also like to play soccer, but I am not very good. I like to read good non-fiction books, and of course I enjoy movies and many types of music. I like to meet knew people and learn about their languages and customs.
