About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Be the ball.
ABOUT ME
°I am an engineer.
°I like numbers but know how unrealistic they are.
°I like public transportation, but most of the Midwest has really crappy bus routes/times, no rail, or subway, so I ride my bike and drive a lot.
°I love, and am very critical of the U.S.
°I can be spontaneously and incredibly forgetful.
°I like most parts of religion in theory, but regret some of its human representatives and outcomes.
PHILOSOPHY
Here are my thoughts on what I want out of life:
To try to make life better for myself and those around me.
To relax and have a good time.
To not take life so seriously all the time.
To be a decent human being.
To be able to enjoy good beer, good coffee, and good people for the rest of my life.
To be able to touch my toes.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surfed through europe the summer of 2009, and now I'm hosting as well as trying to catch a couple local meet-ups.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had a great time surfing couches in Europe and Morocco. People that participate in CS are so open and generous, and I feel that they really respond to the excitement I have about their lives and cultures. Being able to surf with people gives me a real opportunity to understand and experience a new place. There is such a huge difference between exploring a new place on your own and exploring that place with someone to guide you. So, thanks CS for helping make that difference! And, thank you to everyone who has hosted me, and I hope I can return the favor sometime!
Interests
I can be seen:
°Riding my refurbished Panasonic bike. (I know, don't they make TV's? It's one of the last bikes Panasonic made.)
°Laying out for a phat huck.
(I try to play a fair amount of Ultimate Frisbee.)
°Enjoying a presspot of delicious coffee.
°Staring blankly at the ArcGIS splash screen.
(I do a lot with geographic information systems, and AutoCAD for work.)
°In general takin' it easy.
(I try to be as laid back as possible about most things. I do get excited about the stuff I mentioned above, but one of my favorite things of all time is relaxing. Stress is something I prefer not to let pile up in my life like a bunch of dirty clothes.)

Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to learn more languages, particularly French to start off with.
I am interested in just about everything, so if you know a lot about something and want to talk about it, then by all means...
I can tell you a little bit about beer.
I can tell you a little bit about coffee.
I can tell you a little bit about Louisville.
I can tell you more than you ever cared to know about hydrology, and fluvial morphology.
I can help you with your English, if you want.
I can teach you how to play Disc Golf, throw a frisbee fore-hand, and some Calculus.
