About Me
CURRENT MISSION
“A Sufi manual, the Kashf-al-Mahjub, says that, towards the end of his journey, the dervish becomes the Way not the wayfarer, i.e. a place over which something is passing, not a traveller following his own free will.”
Bruce Chatwin
PHILOSOPHY
“I haven't got any special religion this morning. My God is the God of Walkers. If you walk hard enough, you probably don't need any other god.”
Bruce Chatwin
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have a home in Northport, MI. I have a lot of fun in Northern Michigan and I want to share that with visiting travelers and hear their stories. As long as I have a home, it is open to guests. When I don't have a home, then I will be a guest. Also, I love breakfast, so you can count on that.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couch surfed while riding across the U.S. on my bicycle, and have hosted guests several times.
Interests
I am interested in cooking, ecology, religion, philosophy, life at sea, cultures, spirituality, poetry, art, psychology, sailing, anything nautical.
