COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is an experience that I can never forget...I was around 8 years old then and that was my 3rd visit to Puttaparthy (a village in Ananthapur District, Andhra Pradesh and the abode of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba). My grandmom stayed there (she migrated and settled there, as she is a strong devotee).

Puttaparthy is a village covered by hills in its vicinity. I climbed a hill where there's a cave with 9 lingas. It is said that Bhagwan Sai Baba, at a very young age manifested that cave and Lingas; and meditated there. There is also a tree by name "Kalpa Tharu Vriksh" (just outside the cave in a narrow passage), from which he used to materialise (by a plucking action) and fulfill his young school mates wishes (like candies, etc.).

I meditated there for close to an hour (with my eyes closed). This is in open heights facing just above the Chitravathi river bed. An amazing experience for me!!!

But yeah, the couch was provided by my G'Mom then..:-)

Interests

I am a south indian classical music singer. I love singing. Apart from that I am passionate about playing the Ghatam (a clay pot - an accompanying instrument used in south indian classical music) and the Veena (a stringed intrument).

I love to travel, meet people...though, time has been a constraint...I will dig it out.

Well, on the top of my mind,

(1) I love to talk (& learn :-)) about spiritual upliftment (yoga included)...kundalini shakti amazes me the most so far.
(2) Music in general - Indian Classical Music in specific
(3) Different types of foods and their reactions within

But I am open to Teach, Learn & Share anything that sounds interesting and mutually beneficial.
