One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Against my better judgment and some sane advice, I've hitchhiked through west Texas in the U.S. It was scary, involved listening to a lot of christian conservative radio and, more importantly, just plain wonderful. Human kindness is remarkably easy to find. Ya just gotta know how to avoid the few crazy ones out there.

I love stories about food. And cooking. And how food and culture go together so often. And how some of the most common items in our kitchens have a history of war and conflict behind them. From coffee to nutmeg to chocolate. Food is a fascinating window into how people live their lives. That's something I'd love to share and also learn.
