About Me

I'm someone fresh out of college who enjoys poetry, podcasts, pizza, and travelling (so close to full alliteration). I feel as if I've been in school way too long, and it's time for me to travel more and gain experiences that go past Florida. I'd like to think I am someone who is shy at first encounters, but after a few minutes of talking we will be laughing awkwardly and sharing great discussions. I'm a creative writer at heart and love to spend my time jotting down inspiration or ideas in a notebook.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel to new countries and places, so I am looking for places to stay, and for new people to meet. Being in a hotel is extremely boring when you have the chance to make new friends, and I want the opportunity to prove myself as an excellent guest. Though as of now I can't extend my house as a place to stay, I can definitely offer my appreciation as a guest.

Interests

Creative writing, stuffing my face with all sorts of food, listening to podcasts, debating pop-culture, travelling, attending local events in the area, and watching thoughtful documentaries.

Music, Movies, and Books

Sylvan Esso, Kendrick Lamar, Incubus, and much more. It all depends in the mood I'm in!

Little Miss Sunshine, X-men movies (third one does not exist in my mind), and ALL the documentaries (Blackfish, Act of Killing, Stories We Tell, Thin Blue Line, etc)

Great Gatsby, Gone Girl, Memory Mambo, and collections of poems (Tony Hoagland, David Kirby, Denise Duhamel). I'm recently into multicultural literature, so if you have any recommendations, please let me know.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled to Europe years before, have used Airbnb within the States and gone to certain festivals. I'm also left-handed, which I find pretty amazing :)

Teach, Learn, Share

If I can, I would love to teach my love of poetry to those that are willing to embrace it. It's a genre that at times is misunderstood, but if you learn about it, you might love it as much as I do!

I would love to harness my cooking skills, how to knit, how to explore the outdoors better, and also how to speak more languages (rusty on my Spanish).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can write you lovely poems in your honor and discuss many a things about the world while perhaps baking some great cookies.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Italy, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
