About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To not sit still as much as possible.
ABOUT ME
Every few months, there is something in me that says, "Go!" and I must obey. Travel improves the value of my life and, while I love having a home base, I enjoy living out of a bag just as much if not more.
I finally decided to attend school and finished a degree at North Carolina State University with majors in Anthropology and Design. Art is my gift and I run my own photography business as well, doing portraits of anyone willing to sit in front of my lens.
Other than this sorta stuff, laughter is my daily medicine and wine is a close second, with hugs right behind it.
PHILOSOPHY
Laugh as often as possible while Loving as much as possible. That's a capital L. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
CS is one of the best ways in the world to meet fellow wanderers and beautiful souls. I host when I can and strive to make the homes who host me brighter places while I am with them.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Though I am new to CS as an organization, couch surfing is not a new experience to me. Typically, some friend has another friend who knows somebody and I wind up on their floor or in their living room. When I travel to NYC or Chicago, I rent apartments for rent on Craigslist and I am a regular ridesharer (both driving and riding). While this tends to worry my momma, folks who wander have an understanding with each other. If I'm going somewhere, and you'd like to join, I'm more than willing to have you along. The journey is the joy.
Interests
People make my world go 'round and I love listening to old Cuban women tell me stories of World War II NYC & 20-something girls talk about their love for great art. I love to dance salsa (Casino), swing, shag, and nonsense. There are no strangers in my life and, as a result, a lot of random occurs. I like it that way.
Oh, and cards. If you'll remind me of the rules of bridge, I'll gladly play with you. Cards plus alcohol plus fun people and I'm entertained for hours.
