Overview
About Me
An artsy thrill-seeking wanderer, an avocado-loving cat enthusiast and quirky graphic-designer who likes to show off her dance moves & enjoy the Venice Beach kind of vibes. Originally from Zagreb, the capital of Croatia where I found a passion for exploring and sharing new ideas and experiences throughout the interdisciplinary world of communication and social interaction. In translation — I love new things, people and places, being out in the open, learning, laughing and working on creative/artsy projects with people from different backgrounds and cultures :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think travel is crucial in getting to know yourself and broadening your horizon, learning more about other cultures, food, relationships and customs. Kicking it with the locals and immersing into the travel life which is more then a "touristic, hotel stay" and offers a completely different experience. What is better than starting of your day of exploration with a cup of tea and a nice chat with a local? Google might not always be your best friend, especially when it comes to hidden gems.
Interests
My dream is to experience living in more countries around the globe, figuring out how things work when you are more than a tourist and how cultures we grow up in sculpt us as people and how similar we are in our differences. Along side travel and human exploration, I am super excited about illustration, typography, user-oriented, social and design. My current goals are to draw daily, work more with analogue and digital photography, cook new and peculiar things, figure out what type of workouts work best for me and eventually take up classes on animation, sewing and web development/programming.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've wanted to jump out of a plane ever since I was a kid, but I never found the courage. I finally did it while traveling around California. The decision to do it was made only 3 hours before the jump. I wasn't scared for not even a minute, my excitement levels went trough the roof and I felt more free than ever. The instant we landed I wanted to be right back up in the air.
What I Can Share with Hosts
An insight into the magical world in my head as well as the more practical things. I can help out with all things art/design, show you some basic Photoshop, Indesign or Illustrator, teach you Croatian or go out for a great time (and a dance off). I also love cooking with prunes, coconuts and onions/garlic. We could figure other weird combinations that work well together (together) or skip the dirty dishes and grab a tasty bite and a glass of wine!
